Pope John Paul II liked to live the messages of Medjugorje. At times he took a Medjugorje message book from a Vatican priest, and the Pope also sent the seers blessed rosaries, visionary Marija Pavlovic-Lunetti told conference attendees in Sacramento, California, on November 18th.

Blessed Pope John Paul II lived the messages of Medjugorje and he blessed rosaries for the visionaries, Marija Pavlovic-Lunetti told attendees at a Marian Conference in Sacramento, CA (USA) on November 18.
With enthusiasm John Paul II “liked to live Our Lady’s messages,” Marija explained. He would use a Medjugorje book to do this, the seer continued, telling of a priest she knows who received his vocation in Medjugorje and served in the Vatican.
Father Stefan would travel with a book containing the Virgin Mary’s messages from Medjugorje. At times, the book would disappear in the Vatican, Marija explained.

Often the priest would ask a religious sister close to the pope about the disappearance of his Medjugorje book. Smiling at him she would reply that it is “in the office of the Holy Father.”
“I don’t have the strength to say, ‘this book is mine,’” Father Stefan would reply, understanding how much John Paul II treasured the messages of Medjugorje.
“And many times Father Stefan would come to Medjugorje, and he would bring us rosaries blessed from the Holy Father for us,” Marija said.
Upon his death in 2005, more and more evidence of Pope John Paul II’s support of Medjugorje has surfaced. Like this private letter, sent by John Paul II on May 28th 1992 to old friends in his native Poland: “And now every day we return to Medjugorje in prayer”, the Pope tells his friends in the letter
The seer explained that when John Paul II would encounter skeptics in the Vatican who doubted Medjugorje he frequently asked Father Stefan to share his vocation story with them, stressing that it is a spiritual fruit of Medjugorje.
Great joy was experienced in Medjugorje because of the pope’s support for the apparitions, Marija said.
“He is with us” was the common conviction in Medjugorje, the seer said.
“He’s completely Our Lady’s pope. Many times when Our Lady speaks and he speaks, it is the same language, the same Holy Spirit.”
