“A mother and a son are reconciled. A group gathered around the same belief” is the title of this photo from among the award-winning black and white series. Photo: Pierre Roth
Medjugorje was brought to the attention of French radio listeners on Friday when the large news channel France Info awarded photographer Pierre Roth with its photo prize for his series “Life in Medjugorje?”
Captured outside the pilgrimage season, in February and March 2008, the black and white series shows scenes of local everyday life in Medjugorje, mixed with scenes of calm fervor among people in prayer on the mountains.
25 years Pierre Roth receives 3,000 Euro along with the prize.
