Covering Medjugorje visionary Ivan Dragicevic’s apparitions in the States will be a main task for Daniel Klimek as US Editor with Medjugorje Today

Daniel’s main tasks for Medjugorje Today will be ensuring a closer coverage of visionary Ivan Dragicevic’s apparitions in the US where the seer lives little more than half of the year. He will also strengthen the bonds to the numerous Medjugorje centers in the United States. Half of Medjugorje Today’s audience are US citizens.

“I was immensely honored to be asked to join Medjugorje Today as the US Editor. In a short time, Medjugorje Today has become the most widely-read and trusted Medjugorje news source in the English-speaking world, reaching a large and internationally growing audience” Daniel Klimek says.

Daniel Klimek: “It is a privilege to join Medjugorje Today”

“Serious, responsible journalism, timely articles, dedicated research, and an unmatched integrity are trademarks of the publication, accountable for its success. It is a privilege to join Medjugorje Today, to be able to offer a contribution to this expanding and important work.”

“The visionaries, specifically Ivan and Marija, spend a significant amount of time in the United States, testifying to the messages of Medjugorje while sharing their daily apparitions with thousands of people. Additionally, countless of Americans have been affected by Medjugorje in a diversity of ways: receiving healing – spiritual, physical, and emotional – conversion and transformation of life, deeper meaning” Daniel Klimek further says.

With Daniel Klimek onboard as US Editor, Medjugorje Today takes a major step ahead in fulfilling its stated ambition: That of providing a continuously updated overview and panorama of the unfolding events of Medjugorje

“This has led to the formation of numerous Medjugorje centers across the country, Marian conferences, prayer groups, pilgrimage centers, an outburst in religious vocations, sometimes in the most unlikely places. Moreover, a lot of creative energy has been displayed by gifted individuals who have been touched by the apparitions, books have been written, films have been made, media networks have been established, all dedicated to the events of Medjugorje.”

“These are some of the many topics I hope to cover for Medjugorje Todayreporting on how the most influential apparition site in the Catholic Church is affecting lives, and influencing the spiritual landscape, in America- and, if necessary, elsewhere. For those who have been affected, the fruits have been phenomenal” our new US Editor explains his decision to join.

Far from satisfied with contemporary American press coverage of the events of Medjugorje, Daniel Klimek joins Medjugorje Toay with the stated ambition to improve it

“One of the main tasks that I hope to accomplish is to set a higher standard of news reporting when it comes to covering Medjugorje -a higher standard, that is, than that which the American press has, too often, given its public” Daniel tells of his ambitions.

“Too often when Ivan or Marija have their apparitions, or when there is Vatican news concerning Medjugorje, there are not a few American publications that cover these events with nothing more than derision and dismissal. At times, the reporting is nothing short of deplorable. It is shameful, producing not ”news coverage” but ideological antagonism. Facts are not checked, the research is impoverished, the story does no justice to its subject or to its audience.”

“A subject of special importance” Pope Benedict XVI has said of Medjugorje. This is what Medjugorje Today is striving to live up to

“It is time to rethink the situation and offer a better, sharper approach. The subject is way too significant for such sloppy work.”

“Pope Benedict XVI once called Medjugorje a subject of “special importance”. Such a topic deserves better reporting, readers deserve better journalism. Medjugorje Today has already been a meaningful conduit in affecting this change. I hope to do my small part” Daniel Klimek announces.

We heartily welcome Daniel onboard, and ask our readers in the United States to join us in this and help him along, in effect ensuring the best possible working conditions for a very talented and most competent journalist whose work we know for sure that our audience will soon get to appreciate a lot.
